We are currently looking for a Part - Time Housekeeping Room Attendant. The Room Attendant performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Housekeeper. The Room Attendant is expected to promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and able to address guest requests and problems.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and/or designate, the Room Attendant is responsible for:

Enters and prepares the room for cleaning;
Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards;
Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies;
Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards;
Performs rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required;
Maintains work area and equipment according to hotel standards;
Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him;
Responsible for achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction;
Other duties as assigned. 
What we are looking for...

Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance;
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping;
Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination;
Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.

Laundry Attendant

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for:

Ensures maximum cleaning effectiveness by sorting laundry prior to washing according to fabric type, colour, and item;
Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading washers;
Ensures maximum loading capacity by weighing bed linens prior to washing;
Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights;
Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times;
Places only proper linens in the dryer to be dried;
Operates, maintains, and cleans laundry equipment according to standards;
Informs Supervisor or Management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages, so corrective action can be implemented;
Presses and folds all linen;
Assists in delivering linen to closets and storage areas;
Other Duties as assigned.

Proven customer service skills.

Manages, converts, and distributes Definite business contracts to appropriate hotels;
Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required;
Manges and converts inbound sales inquiries from all channels and passes new leads developed through contacts to appropriate team members;
Assists in implementing promotional projects in assigned market areas to increase sales volume and profitability;

What We are Looking for...

Hospitality experience or comparable sales experience, hotel environment preferred;
Proven experience maintaining guest/client relationships;

Report on and provide regular updates on key performance indicators.
Prepare and submit any new leads developed through client contact that should be followed up by other members of Sales Department and/or other departments at the properties.
Work closely with the Sales, Catering, Front Office and Revenue Management teams.
Identify and resolve all guest concerns/complaints. Coach and empower team members to do the same.
Understand and comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and laws. Report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions. Ensure department equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
Act as a health and safety leader in the property, report all workplace incidents/accidents or near misses, wearing all Personal Protective Equipment required, and participation in fire safety plan.
Ensure all COVID-19 Operating Protocols are followed and that the well-being of our guests and team members is always top priority.
Liaise with all supporting departments to ensure a seamless experience for our guests, ensuring our vision of passionate people creating exceptional experiences is at the forefront of every interaction.
Attend meetings and training as required.
While the position reports directly to the General Manager, there is a strong working relationship with the Regional Director, Sales.
Assists in managing, tracking, and preparing invoices for accounts payable.
Responsible for cash-handling functions for the hotel and reconcile all cash dropped at the front desk.
Posts city ledger payments in the property management system, reconcile and bill all city ledger accounts.
Performs follow-up billing and credit collection documentation and informs the General Manager of any potential uncollected accounts.
Reviews all ledger details: guest, city, and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenue posting.
Sets up new accounts in accordance with established credit policy.
Assists with departmental monthly audits of inventories / enter final inventory totals into a spreadsheet;
Assist with the Front Desk as required during Dept Meetings, including covering shifts when there are vacant Guest Service Agent positions (On request by the General Manager).
Assisting with F&B (orders, & Inventories).
Assist the General Manager in supporting SHG & HR initiatives and Social Events;
Provide assistance for both internal and external customers in the group market.
Process all leads in a timely manner.
Conduct creative site inspections customized to the needs of the client.
Post-meeting room charges in Lightspeed.
Prepare invoices for meetings and groups with master billing, process payments, and send invoices to clients.
Prepares proposals and contracts as required by the department within a guaranteed 24-hour period.
What we are looking for...

2-3 Years Experience in Hospitality Sales, Hotel Environment an Asset.
Marriott Experience an Asset.
Experience in Lightspeed an Asset.
Education in Hospitality Management or Business-related fields is a definite asset;
Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hotel Property Management Systems.
Organized, results-orientated, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication skills, verbal and written, French and English.

Reservation and Switchboard Agent - Novotel Toronto
The Reservations & Switchboard Agent represents Novotel to guests throughout all stages of their stay. They are responsible for taking and distributing messages for guests, providing information on guest services and responds to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Provides courteous, efficient telephone service to guests, public and associates
Answer telephone calls within 3 rings, using correct salutations and etiquette

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Service Agent will:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times with guests and team members;
Comply with all company standards and brand standards, if applicable;
Interact with all guests during check-in and check-out procedure;
Create and cancel reservations as required, handle check-in and check-outs;
Greet all incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and timely manner;
Review logbook, and emails daily and complete all tasks on the checklist;
Maintain proper operation of Front Desk telephones, be familiar with daily sell rates;
Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift with hotel standards;
Work closely and maintain proper communication with all hotel departments;
Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible;
Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner;
Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, gift shop, safety boxes etc.;
Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or department manager.
What We are Looking for...

Customer Service experience, preferably in a Hotel Front Desk position;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
Computer literate in Word and Excel. Maestro's or Opera experience is an asset;
Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment;
A self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve, initiate action, and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision;
Must be friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a professional appearance;
Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required;

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the House Person’s responsibilities include:

Cleaning designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;

Managerial experience in housekeeping in a Hotel or related industry;
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Tourism or Hospitality is an asset;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;

Able to think clearly in pressure situations, exercise good judgment, and focus attention on details;
Is able to endure an abundance of physical movements in the performance of job duties;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;

Experience in financial management for a housekeeping department is an asset;

Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance:

Responsible for ensuring the property and product are in a condition that exceeds our guests’ expectations;
Identify and rectify general maintenance issues within the property;
Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, and safe manner;
Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to hotel guest rooms and equipment, including kitchen, boiler, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical;
Drywall repair, painting, and other basic carpentry as needed;
Make regular internal and external rounds of property to ensure that everything is in working order, reporting any issues to the Maintenance Manager;
Maintain work area, all equipment, and logbooks;
Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, power failures;

What we are looking for...

Technical experience in a recognized trade with a general understanding of building maintenance and operation. Previous experience in a fast-paced hotel environment would be considered an asset;
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
Flexibility in working any shift as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;

Ability to prioritize and multitask;

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the House Person’s responsibilities include:

Cleaning designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;

Guest Services Supervisor
We are currently looking to hire a Guest Service Supervisor. The Guest Services Supervisor (GSS) is a social and interactive position and is crucial in setting the tone for everyone who walks through our door. Our lobby environment leads the way for a guest’s experience and provides the always-important first impression. Working collaboratively with the Guest Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the front office team in our incredible hotel. This individual will be responsible for providing support and training to the team in guest-related and room operations, both during the day, afternoon, and night shifts (when-needed). Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager or designate, you will:

Ensures a smooth operation of the Guest Services in the absence of the Guest Services Manager;
Acts as a role model in the service vision and standards of the Guest Services Team;
Supervises the registration and check-out of guests including processing customer payments, and supporting team members as necessary;
Supports in training the team on systems, security and cash handling procedures, and service standards and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions;
Encourages teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments/ outlets. Key departmental contacts include Accounting, Revenue Management, Sales, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance;
Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated;
Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously;
Assists with scheduling, payroll, coaching, performance management, hiring, performance reviews, and training for all Guest Services team members;
Understands and comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and laws.  Report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to ensure department equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner;
Acts as a health and safety leader on the property, report all workplace incidents/accidents or near misses, role model wearing all Personal Protective Equipment required, and participates in fire safety plan;
Performs other duties as assigned including assisting team members with their roles during peak periods.

Previous supervisory responsibilities preferred in a customer-facing and/or hospitality position;
Highly interpersonal; comfortable engaging with all guests, visitors, vendors, and team members;
Thrives in a fast-paced high-pressure environment-maintaining composure and objectivity;
Demonstrated ability to interact in a team environment with several divisions/departments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
Computer literate in property operating systems such as Opera, and Maestro., as well as being proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is an asset;

Reporting to the General Manager, the Guest Services Manager will:

Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our guests and employees;
Ensure guests receive prompt, professional attention and personal recognition. Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival;
Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Implement appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction;
Maximize total hotel revenues including but not limited to occupancy and increase RevPar on a daily basis;
Maintain all policies and internal controls related to the front office operations to ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, and guest security;
Assist with recruitment, training, supervision, and discipline of Front Desk/Guest Services team members;
Ensure all staff is properly trained on systems, security and cash handling procedures, and service standards and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions;
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments;
Schedule the staff within budgeted guidelines and provide the best coverage for service demands;
Organize and maintain front office records and equipment in accordance with hotel policy and control the inventory of front office supplies/forms;
Assist in the preparation of the annual business plans, budgets, and marketing plans;
Prepare, monitor and maintain front office reports as required;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Housekeeping Room Attendant
We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Room Attendant. The Room Attendant performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Housekeeper. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and/or designate, the Room Attendant is responsible for:

Enters and prepares the room for cleaning;
Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards;
Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies;
Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards;
Performs rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required;
Maintains work area and equipment according to hotel standards;
Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him;
Responsible for achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction;
Other duties as assigned. 
What we are looking for...

Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance;
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;

Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination;
