Your Role

The Sales & Events Executive is responsible for supporting the hotel in an administrative role, to create, develop and oversee the implementation of marketing strategies that will establish the property in the market, raise awareness and activate the hotel to our target audiences and beyond, whilst managing proactive and reactive group and catering sales efforts.

The Sales & Events Executive is primarily responsible for:

  • Creating, planning and implementing property programming strategies, guest initiatives and guest activations.
  • Developing and maintaining the annual programming, events and activation calendar.
  • Coordinating sponsored events, partnerships, community collaborations and experiential programming.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase property engagement and enhance the guest experience.
  • Collaborating with Operations and Sales and Marketing to execute promotional campaigns and property activations.
  • Assisting with social media content creation and event promotion in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Managing group, transient and catering enquiries while ensuring timely follow-up and accurate qualification.
  • Prospecting new business opportunities and supporting the conversion of leads into confirmed business.
  • Preparing proposals, contracts, corporate agreements and sales documentation.
  • Coordinating site inspections, client tours, VIP arrivals and welcome amenities.
  • Supporting promotional initiatives, trade shows and client engagement activities.
  • Coordinating the planning, detailing and execution of meetings, social events and group functions.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supporting on-site event execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned by hotel leadership.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail, particularly when preparing contracts, proposals and other documentation.
  • Creative and innovative, with the ability to develop strategies that activate property spaces and enhance guest engagement.
  • Strong time-management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Windows-based programs and standard office equipment; experience with social media platforms is an asset.
  • Ability to develop project timelines, assess resources and departmental needs, implement corrective plans, and monitor results.
  • Experience with Maestro PMS, Opera PMS and Delphi is considered an asset.
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations and experience in Sales and Marketing are considered assets.
