Your Role

The Houseperson is primarily responsible for:

  • Maintaining clean, welcoming, and comfortable spaces throughout the hotel, including guest areas, restrooms, offices, and meeting and event spaces
  • Performing a variety of cleaning duties, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, carpet cleaning, window washing, floor care, and waste removal
  • Supporting the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel’s exterior
  • Operating laundry equipment safely and ensuring hotel linens are properly washed, ironed, folded, stored, and presented for guest use
  • Creating positive guest experiences by offering friendly service and responding promptly to guest requests and delivery needs
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance concerns to help maintain a safe and well-functioning environment
  • Organizing, stocking, and maintaining supply rooms to support efficient daily operations
  • Participating in deep-cleaning initiatives and special projects, including mattress rotation and furniture movement
  • Collaborating with Room Attendants and other Housekeeping team members to prepare clean, comfortable rooms for arriving guests
  • Contributing to a supportive team environment while consistently upholding the hotel’s cleanliness, safety, and service standards

What You Bring to the Table

  • Highly organized, superior time management skills, exceptional attention to detail particularly with contracts, proposals, and other documents
  • Thinking outside the box to develop strategies to enhance activating our property space
  • Well organized, able to plan and prioritize workload, multitask, and demonstrate strong time management skills
  • Fully competent with current Windows based programs and all office equipment, proficient in social media platforms is an asset
  • Superior office administration skills, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and ability to manage multiple projects successfully
  • Ability to analyze and develop timelines, project resources, departmental needs, develop corrective plans, monitor and evaluate results
  • Systems experience with Maestro PMS, Opera PMS, and Delphi experience are an asset
  • A strong understanding of all aspects of Hotel Operations and Sales and Marketing experience is considered an asset
  • Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to handle high volume and short time-frame demands
