Aloft Montreal Airport has an existing vacancy for a Sales Manager.  This position is responsible for overseeing the sales operations of the hotel with the goal of maximizing rates and overall revenues for the property and its ownership. Specifically, this person is responsible for soliciting and booking transient volume accounts and local group business from corporate accounts by developing contacts and relationships.

Your Role

Reporting to the General Manager or designate, you will:

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through relationships, telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings
  • Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
  • Finalize all bookings/contracts in a timely manner servicing guests through the process
  • As required by ownership or the General Manager, participate in daily RevMax call, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings
  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
  • Participate as team player with all departments
  • Assist with reports and/or competition data collection
  • Actively pursue new clients through creative/innovative sales techniques
  • Drive product quality and a unique guest experience at every opportunity

  • Speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the Workplace –   English and French
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and master goals
  • Excellent computer skills (including, but not limited to, Accounting Programs, Microsoft Office and Delphi)
  • Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required
