Your Role

The Room Attendant performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Housekeeper. The Room Attendant is expected to promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and able to address guest requests and problems.

The Room Attendant is primarily responsible for:

  • Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.
  • Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards.
  • Dusts the room and furniture.
  • Cleans the bathroom.
  • Cleans the closet and guest storage space.
  • Vacuums and sweep the floors and carpet.
  • Checks and secures the rooms.
  • Replenish all bath and guest room amenities according to the operational standards, which may change from time to time.
  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform deep cleaning rotation schedule (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, perfect room program, preventative cleaning, etc.) as required
  • Cleans guest bathroom/bed room/floor corridor.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of his/her work area.
  • Responsible for the safety of Hotel property in the work area.
  • Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints and report to management any problems
  • Responsible for following the standard operating procedures of the room attendants, including cleanliness standards.
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction scores.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance;
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping;
  • Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination;
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
