We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Room Attendant. The Room Attendant performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Housekeeper. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and/or designate, the Room Attendant is responsible for:

Enters and prepares the room for cleaning;
Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards;
Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies;
Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards;
Performs rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required;
Maintains work area and equipment according to hotel standards;
Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him;
Responsible for achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction;
Other duties as assigned.

Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance;
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;

Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;

Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and item to ensure effective cleaning.
Operate and maintain laundry equipment according to company standards.
Identify and remove damaged or stained linens before washing.
Load washers and dryers within recommended weight limits.
Press, fold, and store all linens neatly and properly.
Assist with linen inventory and report any discarded or reused items.

House Person

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the House Person’s responsibilities include:

Cleaning designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays;
Greet guests in a friendly manner;
Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed;
Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed;
Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed;
Cleaning of guestrooms (cleaning behind beds and armoires, washing walls, cleaning light shades.);
Assisting room attendants by removing dirty linen and garbage from their carts;
Assisting in robe and linen inventories;
Other duties as assigned.
 Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

Constant standing and walking throughout shift;
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs;
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting;
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Housekeeping Supervisor
We are currently looking to hire a Housekeeping Supervisor. Direct the Housekeeping staff in the fulfilment of departmental assignments with a high degree of quality, within budget parameters, and on schedule.

Train, direct the work of, resolve issues/problems and coach and counsel the team members to ensure a quality operation.
Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
Build strong relationships and liaise with all other department's especially housekeeping, reservations etc.
Assist Housekeeping Manager to maintain compliance with Ontario Health & Safety Act and other relevant legislation.

Sous Chef
We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to help take its food and beverage operations at our Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre located in Thunder Bay, Ontario to the next level! The Sous Chef is called upon to support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and represent them in their absence. The Sous Chef often is the one responsible for training new staff members and managing the team. They must be able to think on their feet, make sound snap decisions and come up with creative concepts within the restaurants and banquets. They are comfortable taking on any task in the kitchen and are familiar with the operation of all kitchen equipment and assist in leading the daily operations. The Sous Chef will offer culinary expertise as it relates to all areas with the hotel.  
The Sous Chef is responsible for providing supervision, coaching and guidance to existing team members and ensuring the Hotel’s culinary vision is achieved.  This is a hands on role, working alongside the team members, while also working collaboratively with the Executive Chef to help lead and manage the execution of the Food & Beverage vision for the hotel.  Along with being in tune with current food and beverage trends, the role requires a leader who is passionate, creative and brings strong food and beverage presentation skills and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences for all guests. They are experienced with the preparation of all menu items and are responsible for ensuring production standards are met and checking for food quality, flavour and plating to ensure guest satisfaction. They participate in all aspects of food preparation and ensure menu items are plated and served on time. They ensure quality control by strictly following recipes and production standards.

Consult daily with the Chef concerning menus, specials, Banquets, special events, and quantities to be produced and served, and reports any big quantities left over;

Assist with duties such as ordering, inventory, costing, waste control, training, and ensuring food safety standards are always met;
Ensures that prep levels are met and ready for the next service;

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping and/or designate, the Room Attendant is responsible for:

Enters and prepares the room for cleaning;
Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards;
Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies;

House Person

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the House Person’s responsibilities include:

Cleaning designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays;
Greet guests in a friendly manner;
Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed;
Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed;
Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed;
Cleaning of guestrooms (cleaning behind beds and armoires, washing walls, cleaning light shades.);
Assisting room attendants by removing dirty linen and garbage from their carts;
Assisting in robe and linen inventories;
Other duties as assigned.

Constant standing and walking throughout shift;

What we are Looking for...

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Operations, you’ll:

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that all departments function cohesively. The GM ensures operational efficiency, quality service, and compliance with hotel policies and various regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the financial health of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. The GM reviews financial reports, works to maximize revenue, controls expenditure, and improves profitability.
Lead and manage the hotel staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. The GM must cultivate a productive work environment and ensure staff adherence to hotel standards, values and culture.
Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by improving the quality of customer service. This includes handling guest complaints, fostering a guest-centric culture among staff, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies that enhance the hotel’s visibility and attract more clientele. This may include promotional campaigns, participation in local events, and forging partnerships with local businesses.
Engage in long-term planning by setting overall goals for the hotel, including sales targets, cost management strategies, and comprehensive development plans for property and services.
Regularly assess the quality of all hotel services and facilities, and initiate improvements to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.
Maintain positive relationships with hotel stakeholders, including employees, guests, suppliers, community leaders, and corporate management.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience, with a proven track record of success. Previous experience with a Marriott brand is preferred.
Strong knowledge of revenue management in a hotel environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
Strong knowledge of property management systems and Office software.
Strong sales and negotiation skills, and decision-making capabilities.
Strong financial acumen with experience in preparing and managing a budget and business plan and analyzing financial statements.
A passion for style trends and fashion, and a flair for social media will be assets in this position.

The Thunder Bay Hotel Collection - is currently recruiting for a Multi-seller Sales Manager!  The Multi-seller Sales Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining and managing strong, comfortable relationships with existing, past and future guests while at the same time maximizing revenue for our Thunder Bay Hotel Collection. They will work closely with the property General Managers and Area Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve business goals with the hotel teams.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with and/or call on existing guest accounts for current, future and repeat business needs or opportunities;
Prospect for new and upcoming business opportunities in the market;
Sell and confirm business as required to meet assigned market, segments budgeted sales;
Manage and convert inbound sales inquiries from all channels, pass any new leads developed through contacts to appropriate team member;

What We are Looking for...

2-3 years of hospitality experience or comparable sales experience,
Hotel environment with multi-selling preferred;
Experience managing and maintaining guest/client relationships;
Demonstrated ability to interact in a team environment with several divisions/departments;
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening);
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or Business, is a definite asset;
Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hotel Property Management Systems is a definite asset;
Organized, results orientated, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure;
Thrives in a fast-paced environment maintaining composure and objectivity with guests and team members;
Class G Drivers licence required;

Barista - Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown
The Café Locale is located in the lobby of the Radisson Blu Hotel Toronto and we are currently recruiting for Part - Time Barista! With gorgeous views of the Toronto Waterfront, and both locals and travelers at every turn, this is a busy and buzzing place to work! House Person

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the House Person’s responsibilities include:

Cleaning designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays;
Greet guests in a friendly manner;
Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed;
Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed;
Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed;
Cleaning of guestrooms (cleaning behind beds and armoires, washing walls, cleaning light shades.);
Assisting room attendants by removing dirty linen and garbage from their carts;
Assisting in robe and linen inventories;

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Service Agent will:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times with guests and team members;
Comply with all company standards and brand standards, if applicable;
Interact with all guests during check-in and check-out procedure;
Create and cancel reservations as required, handle check-in and check-outs;
Greet all incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and timely manner;
Review logbook, and emails daily and complete all tasks on the checklist;
Maintain proper operation of Front Desk telephones, be familiar with daily sell rates;
Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift with hotel standards;
Work closely and maintain proper communication with all hotel departments;

What We are Looking for...

Customer Service experience, preferably in a Hotel Front Desk position;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
Computer literate in Word and Excel. Maestro's or Opera experience is an asset;

Key Responsibilities


Manage phases of accounts payables and accounts receivables for multiple hotels in the SHG portfolio.
Oversee and lead the payroll process for the assigned Hotels, providing guidance and direction to department leaders to ensure payroll accuracy and processing.
Ensure that guests have the best possible experience by troubleshooting and resolving all billing-related disputes in a timely manner. All guest concerns should be acknowledged within 48 hours of receiving the initial complaint.
Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
Prepare daily bank deposits and due back reports and distribute as required.
Perform monthly cash count audits.
Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to Corporate Finance Manager.
Provide direction to the night audit team through the Director of Rooms/Front Office Manager to ensure proper revenue reporting.
Review all ledger details: guest ledger, city ledger, and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenue posting. If any imbalance or difference is found on the ledger, then coordinate with the PMS team to resolve the same.
Review the postings, payments, revenue, and guest balance reports daily.
Ensure correct taxation is applied on all billing software like Property Management Systems (PMS), and Point of Sale (POS) software.
Ensure that all statutory details are displayed on the guest invoices and bills.
Review the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Aging reports monthly.
Check customers’ credit ratings and flag accounts accordingly.
Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports to ensure accurate, timely information is available for management.
Ensure all new hire paperwork, benefits, and other pertinent personnel documents are e-filed in Payworks and maintained in accordance with the company HR practices.
Monitor and contain all property inventories to ensure proper levels of property cash flows.
Provide direction and training to the hotel operational team in areas related to finance, financial reports, internal controls, payroll, etc.
Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Corporate Finance Manager.
 Environmental Factors

Primarily a weekday schedule, Monday to Friday, with some occasional work required in the evenings and on weekends.
Travel to the different hotel locations as needed and often work from various hotel locations.
Significant time spent on a computer keyboard.
Regular communication with Hotel General Managers and Corporate Finance Managers.
Some lifting (up to 30 lbs), on occasion.
A fast-paced and ever-evolving industry with high demands to perform.
Swift strategic thinking while under pressure to execute project strategies.
What We Are Looking For...

Accounting skills and knowledge acquired through business college, (i.e., a Degree or Diploma in Accounting) or through completion of an accounting program (i.e., CGA, CPA, or CMA), or through relevant experience are considered essential.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated finance experience, preferably in hospitality.
Friendly and cooperative disposition and easily able to work cooperatively with team members.
Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Exceptional analytical skills to prepare reports and solve routine accounting problems.
Strong Computer skills - knowledge of Sage, Maestro, Opera, POS, and Delphi a definite asset.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel is required.
